Welcome to MDPL. By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the MDPL application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
MDPL is a mobile application that provides:
- 3D offline maps and navigation for hiking in Indonesia
- GPS-based real-time location tracking
- Hiking destination information with POI/checkpoints
- Photo capture with location tagging
- Hiking statistics and profile tracking
- Live location sharing with other hikers
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using Google Authentication (Android) or Apple Sign-In (iOS). You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. User Conduct
When using MDPL, you agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Upload inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Share false location information that could endanger other hikers
- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm other users
5. Safety Disclaimer
Important: MDPL is a navigation aid and should not be your only means of navigation while hiking. Always:
- Carry physical maps and compass as backup
- Inform others of your hiking plans
- Check weather conditions before hiking
- Bring adequate supplies, food, and water
- Be aware that GPS signals may be unreliable in certain areas
We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or losses that occur during your hiking activities.
6. Intellectual Property
The App and its content, features, and functionality are owned by MDPL and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
- Use our trademarks without permission
7. User Content
You retain ownership of photos and content you create using the App. By using our services, you grant us a license to store and display your content within the App for your personal use.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services including:
- Mapbox for map data and rendering
- Google Cloud and Firebase for infrastructure
- Amplitude for analytics
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MDPL shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Personal injury or property damage arising from your use of the App
- Errors or inaccuracies in map data or GPS positioning
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@mdpl.app or through our social media channels.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
